| Goni ignores NC onslaught | | 'Statements of Sagar, Sadhotra do not deserve a reaction' | | early times report Jammu, Oct 23: Former political advisor to National Conference patriarch Farooq Abdullah who recently joined Congress ending his long affiliation with the party has played down the obnoxious statements of his former colleagues. Choosing not to comment on the recent statements of Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for Rural Development and Ajay Sadhotra, Minister for Planning and development, Goni said that he would prefer to overlook the comments and statements of my former colleagues. "I have shared a long standing relationship with these people and my values restrain me from reacting to undignified statements made by people with whom I have shared long years of association that ran beyond our political affiliation and ideology" Goni said. Goni, a long standing NC loyalist came under scathing attack from National Conference after he crossed over to congress, following persistent neglect by the party leadership. While Mustafa Kamaal, the NC additional General Secretary and Spokesman had accused Goni of infamous JKCA scam, Sagar and Sadhotra had made indecorous statements against Goni recently. While Goni had threatened defamation suit against Kamaal for his statements and also promised to bring forth complete facts of the JKCA scam, he avoided a reaction to the statements of Ajay Sadhotra and Ali Mohammad Sagar. |
