Ramban, Oct 23: With the inauguration of a passenger shed by the MLA Ramban, Ashok Kumar near Khooni Nallah bridge yesterday, besides the local villagers, the passengers who often get stranded on the NH44 for hours together during its blockade at Panthial due to the heavy landslides would be facilitated and be at convenience now. He also inaugurated 107 steel-ply desks to the students of the Government Middle School, Digdole besides sanctioning the two mast lights there the same morning. The passenger shed was constructed for Rs.1.50 lac sanctioned from the constituency development fund (CDF)by Ashok Kumar on the public demand. During its inauguration local Sarpanch of Marog, Pyar Singh, Naib Sarpanch, Abdul Qayum,Sarpanch, Bradgaddi, Shabir Ahmed, Panch, Marog, Bhagwan Singh and former Sarpanch, Marog, Parikshit Singh expressed their overwhelming gratitude to the MLA,Ashok on behalf of their villagers. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok directed the Block Development Officer, Ramban, Zamir Ahmed Rishu to construct male and female toilets near the passenger shed from the remaining amount of Rs.1.50 lac for the convenience of the passing by villagers especially the students particularly the women and the stranded highway passengers. Earlier, in the morning, Ashok handed over 107 steel-plywood desks , each costing Rs.1200 to the 137 students of the Government Middle School, Digdole funded from his CDF. The Chief Education and ,Zonal Education Officers, Vinod Kumar Soni and Omprakash besides the local Panches Kanchan Devi and Diler Singh were also present on the occasion. On the demand of the locals for an early upgradation and filling of all the vacant posts of teachers, VK Soni informed the public and the school officials that as soon as the land is identified the new building of the High School shall begun and by the early next year all vacant posts shall be filled. He thanked Ashok on behalf of his department, school officials and students for the desks. |
