| PHE workers association demand genuine demands redressed | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Oct 23: As part of ongoing agitation launched by PHE Workers Association Jammu province, a massive demonstration of its Divisional Wing of Division Kathua was held here today under leadership of Baldev Singh Joginder Sharma and Pritam Singh Jointly.
The mass demonstration was organized in support of the just and genuine demands of all daily rated workers, CP workers working in the department and living without pay from last 24 months where as the state administration have adopted step-motherly treatment with them.
The demands include disbursement of the salary should be on every month, release of pending pay arrears, consider all sorts of daily-rated workers, CP workers as daily-wagers. The association also raised modification of SRP 64 of 1994 and regularization of daily-wagers who have completed their seven years of time in service with the department.
While addressing the gathering of workers/ employees Subash Verma, General Secretary of the Association and Provisional President of the Association Bakshi Singh expressed their great concerns over the issue as the authorities concerns have adopted callous indifferent and deceitful attitude towards the employees/ daily-rated workers.
He further added that administration have observed criminal silence over the issue and delaying tactics deliberately. They further said that the Association has stressed upon the state government to resolve the issue at an earliest to avoid any type of confrontation otherwise, no option left to expand the ongoing agitation throughout the province. |
