Samba, Oct 23: As part of ongoing hectic awareness campaign on Bharat Nirman Phase-II, the Kathua unit of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India in close coordination with ICDS Project Vijaypur and Panchayati Raj Institutions organized a women meet at ICDS Center, Swankha vof Vijaypur block on the topic 'food security act.' On this occasion a Seminar on the provisions of Bharat Nirman Phase-II with special emphasis on National Food Security Act was organized in which over half a dozen Anganwadi workers, Supervisors besides intellectuals and dignitaries provided information and awareness on the subject. The seminar was organized in order to sensitizing and mobilizing the masses in general and rural masses in particular especially at the grass root level about provisions of recently launched Food Security Act, which is meant for providing food to all. The function was presided over by N Gulshan Raina (IIS), Publicity Officer, DFP who in address elaborated the concept of Food Security Act. While interacting with the audience Raina spelled out the aims and objectives of such awareness programmes for the common masses directly at the grass root level from time to time. While presenting vote of thanks Smt Vijay Jasrotia, ICDS supervisor appreciated the efforts made by DFP in making the rural masses aware about various central sponsored schemes and programmes launched by Govt. of India for the benefits, upliftment and safeguard of the people of the country in general and rural populace in particular. Later the participants of the seminar were honored with utility gifts by the galaxy of officers and other dignitaries, Prominent others who graced the occasion included Rakesh Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Publicity Assistant, DFP, and Kulbinder Singh. |
