| JKHCBA appeals Govt to respond adequately to Pak aggression | | | early times report Jammu, Oct 23: Expressing grave concern over the unprovoked and continuous shelling at borders by the Pakistan while targeting civilians, J&K High Court Bar Association has appealed the govt. to respond adequately and strongly to counter these reprehensible and criminal acts. It was further, appealed to the govt. to strengthen its security grid and initiate immediate steps to extend timely and adequate support to those who have migrated from the borders due to continuous firing and heavy shelling from across the border in fear of loss to their person and property. JKHCBA, Jammu which was presided over by president, M.K Bhardwaj senior advocate, appealed all the political parties, organizations, members of the civil society and all the nation loving people to stand united, in order to safeguard the integrity, honour and pride of the nation and extend their helping hand to those who have been forced to desert their houses, cattle and fields with standing crops. Role of the security forces was also applauded for giving a befitting reply to the nefarious designs of Pakistani Ranges who are hell bent to create an atmosphere of war like situation on the LOC and IB by continuous ceasefire violation with an ulterior motive to pave way for the sneaking of terrorists waiting on the launching pads on their side and further intend to keep the pot of Kashmir issue boiling. An incident of stone pelting in Kashmir valley in which one police personnel succumbed to injuries after being hit by stones thrown by the miscreants was also deprecated. Association also observed 2 minutes silence to remember the sacrifice of police personnel & BSF jawan, who attained martyrdom. Sympathies were also extended to the members of the bereaved family and those jawans and civilians who sustained injuries. Later on, a strong protest demonstration by the members of Association was also held while condemning the cowardice acts of Pakistan and raising slogans against it. Others who attended the meeting include Sindhu Sharma (vice-president), Ranjit S. Jamwal (gen. Secretary), Prem N. Sadotra (joint secretary), Gurveer Singh (treasurer) and YLA members Adv Daljit Singh Manhas (president), Adv Pardeep Majotra (vice-president), Adv Benish Kazmi (general secretary), Adv Sahil Sharma (joint secretary), Adv Shehzia Azad (cashier) and other members of the Association. |
