| ABGP criticizes shopkeepers for overcharging milk products | | | Kathua, Nov 1: Akhil Bhartya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP) has condemned the shopkeepers for overcharging milk and its product from consumers an alleged administration for not fixing their rates on this festive season.
In this connection, a deputation today called on Additional DC and Tehsildar Kathua under the leadership of Ramesh Bharti, president of Akhil Bhartya Grahak Panchayat at Kathua here today and apprised them of the problem. They also resented the hike in milk price by 35 rupees per kilogram few days back and social organizations at large because of the rates fixation for milk is not genuine and justified for the common man. Bharti expressed shock over the unjustified hiked rates of milk products while the rate of milk is still stable and not been hiked till date. He further said that inspite of any notification issued of the rates fixation of milk some shopkeepers in Kathua have started to charge the 36 per kg of curd and 180 rupees per kilogram plundering the pockets of common consumers. He urged the administration to take stern and strong action against the shopkeepers. |
