| Dr Kaul performs autopsy of Rana family | | Waves of Trifurcation fantasy' | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 1: Reacting to the repeated forecasts of the National Conference provisional president Jammu, Davender Singh Rana, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today said his trifurcation fantasy seems to be inspired by his own domestic politics, where every member of the family is aligned with a different party. The members of Rana's household owe allegiance to Congress, BJP and NC. In a statement issued here today, the National spokesperson of the party, Dr Sameer Kaul said it is a known fact that NC has lost its way and its prominent voices like Rana and Tanvir Sadiq only issue a poster of the ideological bankruptcy of the ruling party. He said the NC, which is the oldest party of the state, has ruled J&K for most part of its existence and has led its political discourse and the present chaos, instability and development crisis are a direct result of its failures. Instead of giving the people of the state any new ideas or road markings for a better future, the party (NC) has been possessed by the fear of the PDP, which it finds as its only and first real challenge, Kaul said. "It seems the time servers like Rana are day dreaming about trifurcation of PDP to neutralize their nightmares," he added. He said NC led coalition has unfortunately reduced itself to a constant battle for survival. "That effort is proving beyond the capacity of its leadership who on one day challenge the accession, on the second day debate its quantum, on the third day deny its existence and on the fourth day advocates attack on Pakistan," he said. Even on a single day, Kaul said one leader declares Syed Ali Shah Geelani as a great leader and another calls him a paid agent of New Delhi, while its patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah ridicules whatever Geelani represents. Kaul said Rana in his own belief might be creating "waves" by his forecasts about the PDP but in the process, he (Rana) is making himself conspicuous for his acts of omission and commission during his tenure as the most important and influential member of Omar Abdullah's govt. He thinks up disintegration of PDP as therapy for his post 2014 nightmares. Like his other colleagues, Kaul said Tanvir Sadiq who is receiving the same salary as the Chief Secretary of the state and perks more than that of a minister for abusing the PDP leadership, has much to explain for phenomenal growth of his assets and business under the wings of Omar Abdullah. |
