| Technical Education Deptt busy in buttering its Minister | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: The Darbar has moved out of Kashmir but the Technical Education Department is still glued to Valley and is opening more and more polytechnic colleges there. The department is not only focusing on the Valley but is busy in laying of foundation stones and flagging off student tours to other parts of country through newspapers. Every day, scores of foundation stone laying functions and flagging off of tours takes place in the state but the Directorate of Technical Education is busy in promotion its Minister of State, Viqar Rasool Wani by spending money on giving advertisements to some favourite newspapers. Wani is actually trying to get his own house in order and work for getting votes in 2014 Assembly elections by spending public money on advertisements, which should be probed by the Vigilance Organization. The Technical Education Minister hails from Banihal tehsil of district Ramban of Jammu region from where he was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2008. He was inducted in Council of Ministers as MoS for Technical Education in January this year by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Since his induction, he hasn't done a single good work for the development of his region and people. Neither he has been involved in any good work nor is his presence made any difference to the department he heads. Thus by laying a foundation stone and flagging off a tour, he is trying to show his report card, which is nowhere in sight. Every day number of tours are being flagged off by Ministers and officers but they don't go for advertisement in newspapers. However, the Directorate of Technical Education is busy in buttering its Minister. |
