| Rajouri, Nov 1: Several Pahari speaking organizations have decided to hold tehsil level 'protest dharans' on November 5 in favor of their demand of Schedule Tribe status. According to press release, the 'protest dharans' will be organized under the banner of JK Cultural and Welfare Forum (JKCWF) and various organizations including JK Pahari People Movement (JKPPM), Pahari Action Committee (PAC), Pahari Youth and Students Organization(PY&SO) have extended their full support to JKCWF. Mohd Azam Sagar and Vijay Kochhar, president and provincial general secretary JKPPM said that under their ongoing struggle for their demand of ST status, it was decided in a recent held meeting at Surankote. Memorandum will be presented to concerned Tehsildars in the state. |
