Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Nov 1: Third Front leader and former Parliament Member, Abdul Rashid Kabli today said that Syed Ali Shah Geelani is as innocent as lamb but Government is using him as a tool to enforce election boycott.
"I never doubt the honesty and integrity of Geelani but at the same time it is an established fact that National Conference has released him in a planned way. Election Boycott is the conviction of Geelani but unfortunately, it helps those people to grab the power who pursue anti-people policies and suppress our youth," Kabli told a news gathering agency adding that Geelani is a towering personality.
Kabli said that criminal thinking of the government would lead us towards disaster. "People are puzzled how and why Geelani was allowed to go to Sopore when every time Government considered him as a threat to peace. I don't doubt Geelani, but he should also realize that NC wants him to keep people away from electoral process," he said.
Abdul Rashid Kabli on behalf of newly formed Third Front appealed Geelani to understand the criminal attitude of the Government and stop election boycott drive.
Lashing out at Farooq Abdullah for criticizing Third Front, Kabli said that he is a non-serious politician. "What you can expect from Farooq Abdullah who is always indifferent towards the sufferings and problems of Kashmiri people. People never take his statements seriously and they all know he cares about his protocol rather than the people," Kabli said.
Kabli alleged that National Conference leaders are acting as pawns and loyalist of New Delhi and help Centre to use people of Kashmir as keyboards. "This party (NC) is heading towards disaster as it has shunned the principles and policies laid down by its founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. Sheikh was an epitome but the current leaders of the party are pygmies," Kabli said.
