| NPP asks Peoples United Front to come out with clear policy, programme | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 4: National Panthers Party has asked the leaders of recently floated Peoples United Front (PUF) to come clean on their policy, programme and objectives ahead of the 2014 parliamentary and Assembly elections. In a statement, K S Bedi, State Secretary, NPP said the current political scenario in the state came up for discussion during a meeting jointly chaired here by Manzoor Ahmad Naikoo, General Secretary and Desh Ratan Pandita, Provincial Vice President, NPP. The participants of meeting said that political parties of state have started to befool masses since the elections are coming close. Quoting the participants, Bedi said that leaders of both ruling and opposition parties have since 1947 have sold dreams to the people without realizing the dreams. He said that parties have shown different cards from time to time for their own vested interests. He added that people should be aware about the designs of the people with vested interests so that they are not more fooled. Taking a dig at the bi-annual Durbar Move, the NPP State Secretary said that this practice is being followed for the benefits of the ministers and bureaucrats so that they are not exposed extreme weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir divisions. He asked the government to provide security to all political leaders of state who contested last assembly elections so that they could move freely without any fear. |
