JAMMU, Nov 4: Senior People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Mendhar, Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan visited different border villages of Balakote sector and took stock of the problems being faced by the residents in recent heavy firing by the Pak troops. While interacting with the people, Khan criticized the ruling coalition of National Conference- Congress for its alleged failure on all fronts and its inability to come up to the people's aspirations. Villagers informed the MLA that employees are facing grave hardship as corruption was on arise and allegedly promoted by the government. After listening to the locals, Khan assured that all concrete measures would be taken to mitigate their problems and PDP would continue to fight for permanent solution to the problems of all border residents. On the complaint of people, he also inspected 14 kilometers long Harni BG road which was allegedly ignored by government. He asked the state government to repair the road which has been totally in deteriorated condition and needs Rs 1 crore for blacktopping. Meanwhile impressed by PDP's polices and programmes, various NC activists joined the party. Those who joined included Mir Hussain Choudhary, Haji, Ghulam Hussain, Poswal Choudhary, Haji Mohammad Razaq along with around 100 supporters. |
