Govt to boost industrial units in rural areas

Bhaderwah, Nov 4: CLP deputy leader Mohd Sharief Naiz and youth Congress president Bhaderwah Nadeem Sharief today in a function held here at Dak Bunglow ,Bhaderwah organised by Susheela Devi Educational Cultural Welfare Society , New Delhi distributed cheques worth Rs 2250 and 6000 to each and every beneficiary as package of incentives among 150 women and girls to boost the Textile production and Handicrafts works production in the area.
All cheques were distributed under the scheme of distribution of wages compensation to the artisans of SUTP & DP TDW. National president of the Susheela Devi Educational Welfare Society , New Delhi Arun Kumar Panday and Nadeem Sharief youth Congress president were also present on the occasion.
Interacting with the members and workers of Susheela Devi Educational Welfare Society who are getting training in handicraft and textile works centers in Bhaderwah established Society, the MLA Bhaderwah reiterated Government's commitment to provide every possible help to boost industrial units in rural areas especially related to handicrafts and hand looms adding that several schemes have been launched to improve the standard of artisans in the State. He said artisans are provided special incentives to boost handicraft production as handicrafts and textiles are famous world over.
He appreciated the NGO Susheela Devi Educational Welfare Society , New Delhi for establishing their training centers in Bhaderwah and said that the government has enhanced stipend to the handicraft trainees and rupees 1 lakh shall be given as National Award to the best performing artisans of the State.
Responding with the demands put forth by the society, the MLA Bhaderwah assured them that their genuine demands will be solved in a phased manner.
He assured that full support would be provided to them to improve their livelihood.
He said pending issues would be taken up with the Khadi Village Industries Commission, Govt. of India shortly for early redressal.
