Kathua, Nov 4: Residents of Thein Dam alleged the administration for having failed to resume the road facility which got eroded in the flash flood caused in the month of June and July this year. The road is totally dilapidated and huge debris due to land slides have accumulated on it affecting the normal life of the people of the area. Girdhari Lal, Des Raj, Dewan Chand, Vijay Kumar, and Davinder Singh said this road has been lying in dilapidated condition for the last four months and the normal traffic is totally been disturbed due which the students, employees and patients are adversely affected, because most the time is wasted in traffic jams, and dust pollution also which lead to the aggravation of the health problems of people of the area.
Mostly the people who have to use the buses and any other transport means regularly to reach at their destination are facing critical situation.
While they are unable to reach to their destination on time and secondly are faced with the fear of road accidents which have become common phenomenon because of worst and damaged stretch of road alongside the Ranjit Sagar Dam.But the question is that the administration and the executing agencies are still quite over the issue and acting like mute spectators leaving the people to suffer more. The people have warned the administration that if the road is nor repaired and constructed shortly then the residents of the area will not sit quiet over the issue and will launch an agitation and for any consequences, the administration shall be responsible.
