| SIC summons DSE for contempt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: Director School Education and his Public Information Officer (PIO) were summoned by the State Information Commission for bring disrespect to the commission in the shape of refuting commission's direction time and again.
As per Order No SIC/J/A/179/2013/4263-65, SIC directed Director School Education, and PIO Saif Chouhan to appear in person before Commission on 5.11.2013. The direction from the Commission came following their failure to respond to Commission's direction.
The Commission issued summons to both the officers after advocate Kovid Khosla filed RTI query to the DSE, failing which he filed first appeal and then knocked the door off Commission and accordingly Commission issued series of notices to both the officers to appear before the Commission.
In its notice Commission observed, " Your series of actions as not responding to our notices amounting to disrespect shown by you towards the Commission's directions which have been viewed seriously by the Commission. Therefore in order to respect the rule of natural justice you are given one more opportunity to appear before the Commission on 5.11.2013 at 10:30 am for hearing of the case failing which it shall be deemed that you are willfully disobeying the orders of the Commission". |
