JE, Sarpanch among three booked for alleged misuse of 'Govt cement'

Rajouri, Nov 4: Taking cognizance of a complaint of misappropriation of government supply of cement in Rajouri, Police have booked one concerned JE, Sarpanch and a panchayat secretary booked for alleged misappropriation of government cement in Darhal of Rajouri besides recovering 100 bags of cement.
According to sources, Darhal Police have booked a sarpanch, Junior Engineer of rural department and a Panchayat secretary for their alleged involvement in misappropriation of government cement while a consignment of 100 bags was also recovered on their disclosures i.e. from a shop at Chowkian village owned by the sarpanch at rental basis.
Police sources said that developing a specific information provided by the sources, SDPO, Thanamandi Muzib-ur-Rehaman in close association with Dharal police headed by Mohd Rafiq Khan raided the shop and recovered the cement bags belong to Rural Development Department. Polices sources added that during investigation police shop was rented to Shabaz Khan , sarpanch of the area while no documental evidence of the cement was provided by the owner of the shop. Meanwhile Police have registered a case under sections 406,409 and109 RPC (FIR 60/2013) against the sarpanch Shahbaz Khan, Aziz-ul-Rehan, JE and Mohd Khali secretary panchyat for their involvement in misappropriation of government cement. Rafiq Khan , SHO Darhal when contacted said all the three accused in the case have gone underground and massive hunt is on to nab them .
