| BJP challenges Geelani in his den, seeks support for Modi's rally | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Nov 24: Challenging Hurriyat hardliner group chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani in his den BJP held series of meetings in his home town Sopore and neighboring township of Pattan in which a large number of people including party activists participated. The BJP activists who turned up in these meetings accused the separatists of snatching economic independence of the people of valley during last 25 years of turmoil by pushing valley to culture of gun that resulted into a large scale destruction and devastation. The meetings were held under the chairmanship of Morcha State President Mushtaq Ahmed Noorabadi and it was attended by senior party leaders from the valley including party vice president Sofi Yousuf. BJP Prabhari for Kashmir Ramesh Arora advocate was the special invitee in these meetings which chalked out Party's strategy for December 1, public rally of its Prime Ministerial Candidate Narindra Modi at Jammu. Addressing the meetings BJP leaders made an appeal to the people of valley to join the rally and give a befitting reply to separatists and anti- national elements who gave nothing to them except miseries in last 25 years of turmoil. "This is high time for people of Kashmir to give a befitting reply to separatist forces in valley and challenge Syed Ali Shah Geelani who has snatched the economic independence of the valley on the name of so called Azadi", said Mushtaq Ahmed Noorabadi. He accused Hurriyat of taking wrong advantage of people's innocence by misleading them with catchy slogans of Azadi etc. Noorabadi said Kashmir is a settled issue and accession made by Maharaja and ratified by constitutional assembly of the state under leadership of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah is unchallengeable. He said Kashmir is inseparable part of India and future of people of the state will only flourish as a part of India. He asked people not to get swayed by false promises of separatists and anti- national elements and instead strengthen the nationalist forces in valley. Earlier BJP organized meetings in South Kashmir districts of Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Anantnag districts. |
