ARTO Reasi books traffic violators, collects Rs 15000 as fine

REASI, Nov 24: Following directions from Transport Commissioner (J&K), the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Reasi, Rajesh Gupta during day long drive against traffic violations in Reasi District and penalized 15 vehicles plying on various routes in district for various traffic violations and realized fine of Rs 15000/- through compound challans from traffic violators. During this day long drive ARTO Reasi accompanied by his staff also made people aware about the traffic norms and urged the transporters to play its active part in minimizing the frequent accidents.
He also cautioned drivers against use of mobile phones while driving and to refrain from rash driving and over loading while strictly adhering to the traffic rules either to avoid any action from the department or an eventuality. ARTO Reasi during this drive penalized 15 vehicles for traffic violation and realized fine upto the tune of Rs 15000 as compound challans.
