Jammu, Nov 30: Continuing its pursuit to enhance agricultural credit, Punjab National Bank (PNB) today organized Kissan Credit Card (KCC) disbursement function at Shamachak. The function was inaugurated by Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations Mohammad Latif Mir, who was accompanied by Ashok Mahajan, Sarpanch of Shamachak panchyat. 38 KCC were distributed to the farmers involving a credit outlay of 46 lakhs in the function in which farmers of villages Shamachak, Manyal Brahmana, Dab Karamdin, Paryal participated.Speaking at the function, Mohammad Latif Mir informed that Kisan Credit Card Scheme (KCC) is providing adequate and timely support to the farmers for their short-term credit needs. He added that the scheme has proved beneficial to the farmers for expansion of their agriculture activities and helping them in meeting timely short term credit requirements for cultivation of crops, post harvest expenses and profitable marketing of their produce. Among other who were present on the occasion included RVS Jasrotia, Chief Manager Circle Office Jammu, Raj Kumar Sharma, Manager Shamachak, Rakesh Kumar, Manager Agriculture of the bank and large number of beneficiaries and staff members of the Bank were present at the function. |
