| BJP makes it explicit: Pt Dogra's name just in one hoarding | | Stawarts Vajpayee, Advani too pushed into 'oblivion'...... | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: Finally it is more than obvious now. In the mega rally, perhaps first of its scale in the J&K, the state unit of BJP almost in entirety has chosen to forget and push into oblivion the greatest and towering leader Pandit Prem Nath Dogra. Except in for just hoarding, this stalwart's name and picture has found no mention in the tonnes of publicity material be it huge hoardings or loads of banners, what to speak of heaps of posters and stickers that found way in the party headquarters and later spread all across at right places for the purpose these were meant to- the Lalkar rally being held tomorrow at MA Stadium. Sources said it was only one leader of BJP, ex general secretary of the party who deemed it appropriate to incorprate the name of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra in one hoarding he made for the rally. This leader is learnt to have written a poem in praise of the star leader and Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP Narendra Modi in the said hoarding. However, it is only in this poster that he has exhibited sagacity more than anyone else to leave some diginfied space for Pandit Dogra, which implies that in 99% of the publicity material the party leadership chose to ingore this great leader. Needless to say that late Pandit Prem Nath Dogra's contribution in nourshing the ideology of the party is immeasurable. He is the leader who is remembered with respect by not just BJP but all other parties, whether inside the Assembly or outside, as and when the ocassion warrants so. Pandit Prem Nath Dogra's greatest contribution in estbalishing the concept of Praja Parishad and in steering the leadership in the agitation of Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan and Ek Nishan ....is widely known. Not only this, the party leadership this time also chose to push into oblivion the veterans like Atal Behari Vajpayee and LK Advani, though their names have been mentioned in some hoardings and banners, but not on the scale and measure as both these stalwarts deserve. This happened, despite constant reminders and alert calls in the media reportage days ahead of the rally. |
