Rajouri, Nov 30: Police has booked panch -an elected representative for allegedly raping a mother of three children at Budhal in Kotranka of Rajouri district, police sources said. A case under section 376 and 457 RPC stands registered against the accused. According to police sources, one Muneer Hussain panch Badhal village in Rajouri finding the woman (name withheld) alone entered the house late evening on Friday and committed rape upon her. "The victim narrated her woeful tale to her husband who was out of town and returned back home on Saturday morning, who later brought the matter into the notice of police, police sources said. Haji Bashir SHO, Kotranka Police Station when contacted confirming the incident said police following the complaint has registered a case in this regard. "The accused has been booked under sections 376 and 457RPC, he said. "The victim was brought to Rajouri today for medical examination by the police, SHO Kotranka said, adding, "The results of medical reports still are awaited. "Meanwhile the police after registering a case in this regard has launched a massive manhunt to nab the accused who was evading his arrest. |
