| Approval of state cabinet for rehabilitation of KPs ‘hasty decision’: KPC | | | Jammu Nov 30: Reacting, to J&K state govt’s move to modify the Kashmiri migrants PM package and allotment of plots to KP migrants on their return to Kashmir valley, in agreement with so called Apex committee members of KP community, Kundan Kashmiri President Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting at New Delhi appealed the community not to take ‘hasty’ decision and asked them not to get tempted of such faulty and lollipop schemes which are not in the larger interest of the community. In a press statement issued from national capital KPC president stated that PM package is necessarily to be de-linked from the return of displaced KP’s to their previous location or near to their concerned district head-quarters in the valley. He appealed the community not to take ‘hasty’ decision over such sensitive issues and not to get tempted of such faulty and lollipop schemes which are not in the larger interest of the community, in particular of our future generation. He also appealed to get united over this issue and fight for you permanent rehabitilation as per your wishes and aspiration at the “land of Kashyap” in Kashmir Valley. He stated that PM package announced in the year 2008 for Kashmiri migrants is totally against the aspiration and demands of KP’s and this faulty return plan having no inputs from the actual migrants is just a “lollipop scheme’. “Return of KP’s to valley is a million dollar debatable question which needs to be taken seriously amid ground realities of the valley, political demands of separatists and so-called secularists of the state, like Autonomy, Self-Rule or Azadi, which takes Kashmir away from India, for which KP’s does not subscribe, he stated. Reacting over the role of so-called Apex Committee members of KP community, KPC president alleged they are misleading the govt over the return issue of displaced KP’s as they have no mandate to deal with such a sensitive issue of victim KP community.
