| Congress itself befitting reply to communal forces: Prof Soz | | |

Darhal, Dec 1 (KNS): President JKPCC and former Union Minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz-MP has said that Congress is befitting reply to the communal and divisive forces in the Country and asserted that UPA will come back to power as UPA-III in the next Lok Sabha election. Addressing a largely attended public meeting in the Darhal area of Budhal Constituency in Rajouri district, Prof. Soz said that projecting Narindera Modi will prove to be a great blunder on the part of BJP and it can never come to power at the Centre because people of the Country believe on secularism and will not accept the policy of hatred and divisive being spread by BJP. He said strengthening Congress is a befitting reply to the communal and sectarian forces and asserted that only Congress can lead the nation on he path of peace, progress and prosperity. Prof Soz said that Congress party has always played a major role in unity and integrity of the state and the country and maintaining the religious brotherhood and communal harmony and have policies and programmes aimed at development and welfare of people of all walk of life.Referring to strength of Congress in Leh and Kargil Prof. Soz said that Jammu Region has always being the strong hold of Congress party and there is a change in the mind set of youth of Kashmir valley towards Congress party and people welcome the policies and programmes of Congress party of all three regions of the State. He said Congress does not divide the people on region or religious line and believe on strengthening democracy and transparency and ensuring development for a bright future of the youth of the Country..
He referred to the vision of Late Rajiv Gandhi for empowerment of Panchayats throughout the Country through 73rd Amendment because Panchayats are the basic institution in democracy and Congress has advocated participation of people in the system of governance at the grass root level. He said that people have voted for democracy at grass root level and we are duty bond to empower the people at the grass root level through Panchayats. He referred to the Information Technology in which India is emerged as the leader of the World. He said that AICC Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi is taking keen interest in the development projects and employment opportunity to the youth of the state and were instrumental in clearance of several projects and welfare of women folk of the state.
Earlier, en-route Rajouri-Darhal Prof. Soz was received by a large number of people at different places and he also paid obeisance at Ziarat 'Sain Ganji' at Darhal. Prof. Soz was accompanied by Shri Minster for R&B Shri Abdul Majid Wani, MOS for Health (I/C) Shri Shabir Ahmed Khan, MLC Ravinder Sharma, Vice Chairman Gujjar & Bakerwal Board Ch. Bashir Ahmed Naz, Thakur Puran Singh, Iqbal Malik, Master Tassaduq Hussian, Shiv Kumar Sharma(INTUC), Thakur Manmohan Singh, Sain Abdul Rashid, Masood Choudhary, Neeraj Gupta, Nirdosh Sharma, Abid Kashmiri, Sanjeev Sharma (Panda) and others.Minster for R&B Shri Abdul Majid Wani in his address assured to take up the demands of the people of this area regarding road works and bridges on priority. |
