| With intensification of war of words with NC; Cong Ministers, leaders summoned to Delhi | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 1: With the intensification of war of words between National Conference and Congress, some Congress Ministers and senior leaders are reportedly summoned by the Party's National leadership to get feed back. Some Congress Ministers and senior leaders would reach to Delhi within days to brief the leadership about ground situation. Insiders in the Congress said that Main-ul-Haque, Secretary AICC incharge Jammu and Kashmir Affairs has informed the Central leadership about sentiments of the party workers. On the one hand, Haque has given feed back to Central leadership on the other hand war of words between National Conference and Congress has awakened Central leadership. Insiders said that keeping in view the brewing resentment among the grass root level workers against National Conference, Central leadership has decided not to impose any decision on the state leadership regarding relation of NC. During their meeting with Haque Congress leaders had warned that they would revolt if any decision was imposed on them by the Central leadership regarding pre-poll alliance with NC. Without any hesitation some Congress leaders made reference towards friendship of party vice president Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and cautioned that party's interests should be protected at any cost. Insiders said that Haque, while giving report of his visit to Jammu to the Central leadership, has reportedly made it clear that majority of the workers are against pre-poll alliance with NC so workers and leaders should be taken into confidence while taking any decision in this regard. |
