Jammu, Jan 1: Expressing concerns over the plight of stranded passengers in Jammu and across the Jawahar Tunnel, the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today has alleged government for ignoring stranded passengers at bus stand and on the highway of Srinagar. Addressing a press conference here today Distt Vice President PDP, Vikram Singh flanked with other party youth leaders said, "None of the Minister not any officer of Govt came to meet the standby passengers as they were facing a lot & even there is no proper system of stranded passengers at Bus Stand.' He demanded early remedial measures for their poor plight in alien city. Vikram Singh also alleged that government is least bothered about the strengthening of democracy which is evident from that govt did not hold elections of municipal corporation which are due since four years. PDP leader also criticized state government for making the winter capital a city of rumbles and said that NBCC, ERA, Municipal Corporation did not work upto the exception of general public as all the lanes of Rani Park, Sabzi Mandi, Kali Janni, Jullahka Mohall, Peermitha, Kanzi House , Ragunath Pura, Dogra Hall and other areas are still remain dug out. |
