Kathua, Jan 1: Quarterly meeting of Local Advisory Action Committee (LAAC) of SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) for the quarter ending September 2013 was conducted under the Chairmanship of DDC, Kathua Jitendra K Singh which was organized by V K Padha, Director, SBI RSETI Kathua.
A booklet on annual activity was released by the DDC, Kathua on the occasion. During the quarter ended September 2013, two programmes were conducted by SBI R-SETI, which were pertaining to Jute and Sisal Fibre and Computer Basics.
The DDC appreciated the performance of SBI-RSETI and asked it to follow up with the candidates trained. The land has been identified by the district administration and final allotment is underway. The sponsoring of various candidates was discussed at length by the house in the meeting. The Govt. Department's / banks are requested to sponsor candidates for training programmes being implemented by SBI, RSETI, Kathua, as 70% of the trainees to be trained in the institute under various trades/ activities belong to BPL category. The departments were asked to sponsor rural / BPL / SC / ST candidates. |
