Jammu, Jan 1 : Three transporters received injuries after they were allegedly stabbed by their rivals this afternoon, in Narwal Mandi. The injured have been identified as Sukhvinder Singh (45) son of Jawan Singh of Shastri Nagar, Balvinder Singh (54) son of Preet Singh of Sanjay Nagar and Kulbinder Singh son of Santokh Singh of Sarore. Police said that the victims in their complaint stated that they were called by one Balbir Singh Chairman 2x2 Bus Union for meeting at Narwal area. Victim further said that they were attacked by sharp-edged weapons, sticks and iron rods by Kuldeep Singh, President 2x2 Bus Union, Balvinder Singh alias Binda, Secretary Keshu and some other persons. Later, assailants managed to escape from the spot leaving behind the injured who were later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) by their relatives. Sources further said that election of 2x2 bus union is due and it might be the reason behind the clash. Police said that a case in this connection has been registered and further investigation is on however, no arrest was made when last reports came in. |
