Jammu, Jan 11 : Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Kartar Singh today convicted Court convicts five and acquits three persons much during the hearing in publicized Narwal Double murder case. Court fixed January 15, 2014 for arguments on punishment of five convicted accused.
After hearing both sides, the Court framed charges u/s 302/120/-B/148/149 RPC, similarly commission of offences u/s302/120/-B RPC is prima-facie made out against accused Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa, Narinder Singh and Ajmer Singh alias Vicky whereas the proceedings u/s 512 CrPC against Jeet Singh is in operation. During today's proceedings court convicted Ajit Singh alias Kaka, Paramjeet Singh alias Pummy, Jatinder Singh, Milkha Singh and Ajit Kumar while it acquitted Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa, Narinder Singh and Ajmer Singh alias Vicky in much publicized Narwal Double murder case.
According to the police case that one Surinder Singh alias Kala s/o Isher Singh has deposed before the police on that on February 5, 2010 at about 5:30 PM Gurnam Singh brother and Rajinder Singh Maternal uncle were standing near the shop 104 whereas Devinder Singh alias Bunty, Gurvinder Pal Singh were also present there, whereas the complainant was also standing there, a car No 3812-JK02V came there and hit Rajinder Singh intentionally whereas Ajit Singh alias Kala, Milkha Singh, Jatinder Singh alias Kala, Paramjeet Singh alias Pummy, Jeeta driver of Milkha Singh were in the car, the came out from the car and started attack with sharp edge weapons at this stage complainant raised alarm, all the five accused after seriously injured both deceased and ran away. The doctor declared Gurnam Singh brought dead whereas later on Rajinder Singh also succumbed to injuries.
On the complaint police registered a FIR u/s 302/148/149/120-B r/w section 201 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act where as against accused Ranjodh Singh, Narinder Singh alias Pummy case u/s 302/120-B RPC was registered. During investigation on the disclosure of Jatinder Singh alias Kala and Paramjeet Singh alias Pummy the weapons used in the double murder case was recovered from the bushes. It was alleged in the challan there was old enmity between the accused the deceased persons over the loading of vehicles in the Fruit Mandi Narwal. Earlier on December 28, 2010, Trial Court framed murder, conspiracy & other charges against accused Ajit Singh alias Kaka, Paramjeet Singh alias Pummy, and Jatinder Singh u/s 302/148/149/120-B r/w section 201 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act, whereas against Milkha Singh and Ajit Kumar Court framed charges u/s 302/120/-B/148/149 RPC, similarly commission of offences u/s302/120/-B RPC is prima-facie made out against accused Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa, Narinder Singh and Ajmer Singh alias Vicky whereas the proceedings u/s 512 CrPC against Jeet Singh is in operation.
