Avinash Azad Jammu, Jan 11: Applicants, who have taken written test for various graduation level posts conducted by Service Selection Board (SSB) results of which were declared on January 3, 2014 have alleged foul play in the selection process. The applicants have termed the short listing of candidates totally ambiguous as SSB had only mentioned the names of candidates who were shortlisted for interview, but has not shown the marks obtained by all candidates who had taken the written test. Accusing the SSB of foul play, a candidate who appeared in the written test held on September 21, 2013 alleged that the process smelled foul. Wishing anonymity he alleged, "The Board has declared list of shortlisted candidates without showing marks obtained by the candidates who were appeared in the test." "The SSB conducted objective type written test for various posts pertaining to State/Divisional/District Cadres with basic qualification Graduation was held on September 21, 2013", he said, adding that for transparency and accountability the Board has to make public the results of all those candidates who have appeared for written test. Referring, Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) was being also sanctified institute, but recently exposed malpractices in BOPEE smell something fishy, as SSB declared the name of candidates who have secured themselves for interview which is scheduled on January 20, 2014. Demanding immediate release of marks obtained by each candidate in the written test, another aspirant said that to ensure transparency the SSB should declare marks before conducting the interview for various posts. Aggrieved candidate challenging tall claims of Chief Minister made to bring transparency in the functioning of system said that in the present case nothing has been seen on ground and also appealed to materialize CM's claims. When contacted, chairperson SSB, Shagufta Parveen acknowledged that the marks would be made public after final results. |
