| 'Road safety week' commences in Reasi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Reasi, Jan 11 : Awareness rally on road safety, interaction with the drivers and distribution of pamphlets marked the observance of Road Safety Week at Reasi here today. Hundreds of students from different education institutions took part in the rally flagged off to create awareness among people. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi Shahid Choudary flagged off a rally from Mini Secretariat Reasi. Among prominent present included Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Reasi Rajinder Singh Tara, ACD Joginder Singh Rai, PO DRDA Dr Jagdish Mehra, Major 39 RR Signal Regiment Bharat were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion DDC Reasi added that main objective of road safety week is to make road safer by following road rules and preventing accidents to minimize the loss of precious human lives. ARTO Rajesh Gupta elaborated over the theme of this road safety week is" When on the Road Always Say Pehle Aap." The students rally passed through main market before culminating at bus stand where light refreshment was served to students by 39 RR signal Regiment.
Later on ARTO Reasi and his team held interactive session with the drivers and conductors of vehicles to make them aware about road rules and also distributed pamphlets on road safety. |
