| SVC reviews Roshini Scheme violations, verification process | | | Jammu, Jan 29: The J&K State Vigilance Commission (SVC) chaired review meeting today with Vigilance Organisation, J&K (VOJK) about the progress on verifying the alleged irregularities committed in transfer of land under the Roshini Scheme. The meeting was chaired by Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda. Vigilance Commissioners, RK Jerath and Gousul Nisa Jeelani, Director State Vigilance Organisation, J&K, Sheikh Owais, IGP Vigilance Organisation, Alok Puri, Secretary State Vigilance Commission, DIG, SSP, Deputy Director Prosecution and Assistant Commissioner Revenue of Vigilance Organisation, Additional Secretary SVC, Chief Prosecuting Officaer SVC & FA/CAO were present in the meeting. The SVC took this second review on the matter and discussed various steps taken and to be taken by the VOJK for the required verification. It was stated by the Director Vigilance Organization that four Special Investigation Teams (SIT) each headed by an SP have been framed to work under close supervision of nodal SIT headed by DIG VOJK for speedy verification. It was also indicated that Government (General Administration Department) has also issued instructions to all the Deputy Commissioners on 27th January, 2014 for cooperating with the SITs of Vigilance Ognanisation to complete the verification. |
