Jammu, Jan 29: Senior Congress leader and two time Member Parliamentary from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda constituency Chowdhary Lal Singh today compared BJP Prime Ministerial Candidate Narendra Modi with poor quality dog breed.
While interacting with media persons at Kathua, Chowdhary Lal Singh said that those people who are trying to snatch the livelihood of common people are dreaming to run the nation. He said that it is unfair to compare Modi with Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
"Even if we tame dogs at home, that too must have good quality breed or similarly while selecting the ox for ploughing the fields, the people take his strength of ploughing into account, but how can we talk about Modi as people don't know anything about him as well as about past credential," said Lal Singh.
He said that it is matter of high pride that the Congress has produce good quality leaders like Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indra Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and now Rahul Gandhi who is doing a brilliant job on political front for upliftment of the people. He said that at the time of handing over the reign of state politics in the hands of Omar Abdullah, Congress President was hopeful that Omar Abdullah who was young, dynamic and hardworking person will take the state to new heights. He said that not only Sonia Gandhi, but Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi and Ghulam Nabi Azad also favoured Omar as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
