EARLY TIMES REPORT SAMBA, Jan 29: An impressive colorful function was held at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Bain Glarh here to celebrate the Republic Day. The students from five nearby schools also participated in the programme. PDP leader Sunny Sangral was the chief guest whereas; Capt (Retd) Sharif Ali was special guest and PDP district president Tinku Singh was the guest of honour. Principals of all the five schools Neetu Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Krishan Singh, Bhagat Ram Sharma and Pawan Kohli were also present. On the occasion, students performed various colorful cultural items which enthralled the audiences. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes to the students. Naib Sarpanch Kartar Chand and other leaders were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Sangral emphasized on the need to inculcate spirit of nationalism and enthusiasm among the students. He appreciated the school management for organizing such programmes. Sangral urged the Government to provide basic amenities to the people of border belt so that the students and general masses could also be benefitted. |
