| Congress accuses NC for making false propaganda | | Administrative Units Row | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Jan 29 : Accusing coalition partners National Conference of misleading people over the creation of new administrative, PCC has urged the high command to contest next assembly elections without any alliance with it. "While a propaganda campaign has been started by the NC against congress over creation of new administrative units, the fact is that Congress party demands equal distribution of administrative units all over the State" said senior leader of the PCC. According to a statement issued, during a meeting of Congress District presidents, the party leaders castigated National Conference and said that the National Conference should be thankful towards the Congress party for allowing them to run the State for six years despite of using ugly and baseless statements against the Congress party from time to time. These leaders urged Congress High Command including Rahul Gandhi and Ambika Soni to contest Parliament and Assembly elections without any alliance. They said every Coalition partner ditches Congress party at the end of the term. The leaders also said that the New administrative units should be given equally to the all districts of the state while, "NC is making false propaganda against our party that Congress is not in favour making new administrative units. The congress party is only agitating against the vested interests of some leaders who are in favour of Ganie Commission." The meeting presided by Pradesh Congress Committee member Inayatullah Rather was attended by district presidents from Shopian, Budgam, Anant nag, and Baramulla. |
