| High Court directs DGP to carry out enquiry against police officer | | SHO allegedly involved in corrupt practice | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 23 : High Court has directed Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad to hold inquiry and take cognizance against SHO Rajouri Varinder Gupta (now transferred) for his alleged involvement in corrupt practice and continuous deferment of court's direction. As per reports, the complaint against the SHO was lodged in High Court by Anmol Koul, the proprietor of New Rajouri Finance Company, pleading that his property was plundered. The complainant said that his complaint was thrown into dust bin by SHO Rajouri. He also averred that the SHO has also ignored court's directions for lodging of FIR against the accused. In the complaint, the complainant has alleged that the finance company which is running in rented accommodation was trespass by his landlord who took away costly items with him. Accordingly, the complainant lodged complaint with the SHO Rajouri and later took the matter to CJM Rajouri as he alleged that there is a nexus between SHO and the alleged accused. Based on the complaint High Court directed DGP to hold inquiry in this connection |
