| LKPA joins NYC in protest demonstration | | |

Jammu, Feb 23: A large number of activists of Law Knowing People's Association (LKPA) today joined the protest of Nation Youth Corp (NYC) association against the government at Press Club.
NYC association volunteers people protested in front of press club Jammu in support of their demands supported by LKPA. It is pertinent to mention here that LKPA has supported the NYC volunteers from the very start. Also the LKPA and YUVA members have vowed to be part of the hunger strike of 80 people at Jantar Mantar. The protesting people were raising the slogans in favour of their demand. They have said that they would trigger agitation across the each and every corner of the state.
Addressing the media, State Convener Arjun Singh Pathania said, "It is not the problem of NYC alone. Youth has similar problem whether he belongs to Jammu or Kashmir or Ladakh and NYC or other unemployed youth and there is need of an association of the Youth who fights for all the people of all the area with no political motive or vested interest.
They alleged that Government is exploiting the youth community. NYC volunteers were made to do a very hectic job at the Panchayat Level but were given a small honorarium only and that too at irregular times. For the last one year they are not given the meagre Honorarium just because of neglect of the Government.
The government should have some concern about the fate of 8000 NYC volunteers. In case there is any causality because of hunger of any volunteer at Hunger Strike Jantar Manter New-delhi. We will a launch a massive State level agitation" |
