| People demands re-election of CSKU | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 23: Hundreds of civic workers today raised voice against the present president of Civic Safai Karamchari Union (CSKU), Jammu Municipal Corporation and demanding re election of the union. A meeting of civic worker held at Balmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar under the chairmanship of Dev Anand Gill state president Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh (ABSMS) at Valmiki Mandir Dogra Hall this afternoon. Expressing grave concern over rampant corruption, mis- management and self-styled way of working opted by Civic Safai Karamchari Union, Jammu Municipal Corporation the voter demands reelection of the union. In the meeting the workers said that the employees of JMC particularly the Safai Karamchari are fed up with the corrupt practice and un-democratic means opted by present president of its union and they demands the reelection of the union They said that the present president and his few allies involved in corruption and exploited the poor civic workers, while demanding Rs 30, 000 to Rs 50,000 for appointment in JMC as casual on Rs 33, 00 per month. They also alleged that that president exploited women workers, many of female workers complain about him regarding sexual harassment. Gill assured the civic workers that ABSMS will project their all demand with component authority and ask all the civic workers to be united and fight for justice. |
