Kishtwar, Feb 23: Like in other parts of the state over 30000 children in age group of 0 to 5 years were immunized for Pulse Polio under Immunization campaign in Kishtwar Distric
As per the details, near about 30000 children's between 0-5 years has been immunized against polio in Kishtwar District for which 368 polio immunizing booths were open in Kishtwar District out of which 112 is in Kishtwar Block, 91 in Chatroo Block, 70 in Padder block and 95 in Dachhan, Marwah and Warwan blocks. Out of 368 booths, 198 are located at difficult places. For success of the said campaign, over 70 supervisor, nearly 1450 workers have been deployed for immunization duty, beside supervisory staff, nearly 390 health workers, 185 ASHA's, over 300 Anganwari workers, 268 teachers and 378 other workers have also been deployed for making the job successful. Today's immunization is the 2nd successful polio campaign in Kishtwar District after three days successful campaign held in between January 19th to 21st 2014. |
