| Investigation in Constable Ravi Verma's case going on: Kichloo | | | ET Report
JAMMU, Feb 23: Minister of State for Home, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today informed the House that investigation into the case of death of Constable Ravi Verma posted in Koyla Nagar district Dhanbad, Jharkhand is going on and the matter is being pursued with the concerned police authorities of Jharkhand to expedite the investigation of the case and ascertain the real cause of death of the Constable. Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Subash Chander Gupta in the Legislative Council today. Meanwhile, Minister for Roads and Buildings Abdul Majid Wani today informed the House that construction of Mandi-Bye Pass road has been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs. 99.30 lakh for traffic decongestion at Mandi bazar adding that Rs. 16.18 lakh stands expended on the project upto March 2013. Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice of Dr. Shehnaz Ganai here in the House today. Minister said that during current financial year Rs. 2.50 lakhs has been released under Bad Pocket Programme and Rs. 3 lakh have been earmarked under BRGF. He said a single lane motorable bridge has been constructed over Mandi River connecting Mandi with Poonch. He said there is no proposal under consideration of the Government for construction of two double lane bridges at present. |
