ET Report JAMMU, Feb 23: Minister of State for Revenue Ajaz Ahmad Khan today said that that 1054 families from Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi have migrated to Jammu following the eruption of militancy in the State during 1990 and have settled in Talwara, Udhampur and Jammu. He was replying to calling attention notice of Naresh Kumar Gupta. He said a cash assistance of Rs. 400 per person per month, 10 litre of Kerosene Oil, 11 Kg rice and atta per month per family, Rs. 300 per cattle for purchase of fodder is being provided to the affected families. He said for the resettlement of these families at their native places, following improvement in security situation, a financial package to the tune of RS 91.56 Crore, was proposed for sanction and forwarded to the Union Government. |
