| Upper House seeks release of ration money for JKP personnel | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 23: Legislators in the Upper House today demanded release of ration money to Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel. The demand was raised by JKNPP legislator Syed Rafiq Shah during Zero hour. He said that the same should be released at the earliest. As many as 12 members raised the issues of public importance during Zero Hour in the Legislative Council today.Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri called for enhancement of honorarium to Numberdars and Chowkidars of the State. Ghulam Qadir Pardeshi drew the attention of government towards incident which occurred yesterday in Pulwama district and demanded for maintaining the Status quo of the land as a playfield.Aga Syed Ahmed Rizvi demanded Medical College-cum- Regional Cancer Institute Centre for Kargil. Khalid Najeeb Suhrawardy demanded resolving the issues of Safai karamcharis of Doda district. Master Noor Hussain demanded construction of road to provide connectivity to Gujjar Bastis of Samba and Kathua district.B.R. Kundal demanded release of compensation in favour of affected people of R S Pura, whose dwelling units were damaged during last rainy season.
Dr. Shehnaz Ganai demanded Sub Division for Mandi, Tehsil for Chandak and Bufliaz areas of Poonch district. Sham Lal Bhagat demanded enhancement of wage rates of Labourers from existing rates.Naresh Gupta demanded setting up of pool of transformers with workshop at a centrally located place in the Chenab Valley. He also called for early repair of damaged transformers of the area besides improvement in supply of power. Jugal Kishore demanded Niabiats for Litter, Ladda, Lally and Tode areas of Reasi district and Subash Chander Gupta demanded adequate facilities for Gaddi and Sippy community, besides hostel facilities to the students at district headquarters. |
