Women empowerment our top priority: Madan 2/23/2014 11:20:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 23: Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma while addressing a public meeting largely attended by women at Bishnah said that empowerment and development of women always remained on the top priority of the Congress party. According to press release, he said Congress led UPA had launched many schemes for the welfare and empowerment of women implemented through Ministry of social justice and empowerment GOI in state, a huge funding was provided to the social welfare department for the purpose. He said that empowerment of Panchayats and women reservation will also provide a plate form for the women to put forth their issues. He informed that under NRHM many incentives are provided to pregnant ladies and lactate mothers. He called upon the women to support his candidature in the forthcoming Parlimentary elections so that he can forcibly plead for the women of J&K.
