ABVP extends support to paramedical students

Jammu, Mar 29: The Jammu unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP) extended its support protesting paramedical students, here on Saturday.
According to press release, meeting of ABVP's office bearers held today. Addressing the meeting, Akhil Verma, City Secretary of ABVP, Jammu unit , said that the approach adopted by the authorities in declaring the result of the paramedical students against the set norms smells the deep rooted conspiracy against the career of the innocent paramedical students where in ninety five percent of the students were shown fail in the result. The Paramedical students also apprised the ABVP leaders that they were given out of syllabus question paper at the time of examination and when they protested , the officials assured them that they will be given grace marks to compensate the out of syllabus questions.
The students also made ABVP leaders acquainted with the fact that their examinations are not timely conducted and because of this they are made to wait for 3 to 4 years to appear for examination of the course whose period is just 1-2 years. Expressing concern over the insensitivity shown by the administration to resolve the issues raised by paramedical students and the lethargic attitude of the medical education authorities in conducting the timely examination of these students, it was deliberated in the meeting that ABVP will give its full support to the paramedical students and warned the authorities not to play with the careers of the students and to resolve the issues of the paramedical students without any further delay. ABVP demanded rechecking of the result, grace marking to the students whose paper was out of syllabus and timely conducting of examination henceforth.
Those who were present in the meeting include Ashwani Sharma, Arun Prabhat, Binny Sharma, Nikhil and others.
