| Tension grips Jagti Camp as some families forcibly claim flats | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 29: Tension gripped tensions in Kashmiri migrant township at Jagti Nagrota following some persons forcefully tried to capture the flats in said location and the situation became so tense that local police have to intervene to diffuse the situation. According to local sources and eyewitnesses, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon when four families came to the Jagti Camp Nagrota and tried to occupy the flats in the migrant camp. However they were restrained to do so by the already residing migrants in the camp. The flat holders/owners questioned their entry and also sought the official documentations for their claims on the flats, an eyewitness said. The incident took ugly turn when the new claimants and Jagti tenants entered into heated arguments when former resisted the residents of the Jagti Camp and said that that the flats were allotted to them by a leader of Kashmiri Pandit community. Meanwhile some of the Jagti tenants communicated the matter to local police and the camp authorities as well. Before the situation went to worse, the Camp Commandant and local police rushed to the spot and pacified with the families. According to the police sources so called Kashmiri Pandit community leader is too being questioned as under what provision and authority he had assured the community members about flats in Jagti camp. |
