| Jammu's aspirations, interest our top priority: Madan | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 29: Seeking the vote on the basis of his performance in the last ten years, Madan Lal Sharma Congress coalition candidate from Jammu Poonch Constituency, assured the people that he will raise the voice of Jammu in the Parliament and resolve the pending issues of his Constituency. Sharma while addressing a series of Public meetings at Brij Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, New Plot, Muthi expressed his desire to work for the welfare of his people from Jammu Poonch Constituency once again as Member Parliament. Seeking vote on the basis of his performance in the last ten years and to strengthen hands of party high command, he assured the people that he will raise the voice of Jammu in the Parliament and resolve the pending issues of his Constituency. He said that during the last 10 years massive development in all vital sectors has taken place and change is visible which has been acknowledged by the people themselves. He said Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi visited the State many times to personally feel the problems of the people and further had ensured free flow of funds to accomplish the major projects initiated in the State. Sharma also asked the people to take pledge to keep State and the Nation united by keeping a distance from the vested interest and the communal forces who are bent upon to create an environment of uncertainty and asked the people to unite against such forces and press hand button on EVM on April 10. He said that development of Jammu is on his top priority and he ensures that Power, Water, Agriculture, Education, Health infrastructure will be improved while better access shall be given to unprivileged and marginalized communities. He said that coalition government in the state has taken some landmark decisions like introducing of Public Service Guarantee Act, RTI Act, Creating Independent Vigilance Commission, Conducting Panchayat Elections, Empowering PRIs in line with Central Government and creating large number of Administrative units. He said though the MP has specific role and meager funds at his disposal, yet he used his good offices and ensured substantial development in all essential sectors. Prominent among others who appealed the people to vote in favour of party and Madan Lal Sharma included Raman Bhalla, Minister, Darshan Raina, Pawan Raina, Ganesh Dutt, I.D Soni, P P Sharma, Adv. Sachin, Soba Singh, Kishore Kumar, Sunita, Neelam Devi, Koushayala Devi, Kanta Bhan, and many others. |
