| 70 bags of govt cement seized; hunt for BDO, JE,VLW on | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 24: In continuance of putting check on black-marketing of government ration and other items like cement etc, R S Pura Police busted black marketing of government cement and arrested one person in this connection while manhunt is on to nab the government officials allegedly involved in diverting the cement to the open market for sale.
Acting on a specific information about use of cement meant for government works in the block being used in private construction, police party headed by SHO P/S R.S Pura today raided the under construction house of one Surjeet Singh s/o Karam Chand r/o Chandu Chak, R.S Pura and found some bags ACC Cement (Govt supply).
During the questioning, Surjeet Singh revealed that he purchased a total of 100 Bags of ACC Cement (Govt supply) from one Vinod Chander s/o Karam Chand r/o R S Pura a contractor, police said and added, "out of which 30 bags were used and remaining 70 bags of cement were seized by the Police Party from the spot.
Police said all this illegal supply of cement was made by the contractor in connivance with BDO concerned, JE and Gharamsevek (VLW) of the said area.
Police said a case against FIR No.83/2014 U/S 409-411-RPC stands registered at P/S RS Pura and investigation of the case is going on to struck more clues in the case. |
