| 3 palatial bungalows, hotels, land, shopping complex amongst unaccounted assets | | Naib Tehsildar booked in DA case | | Sumit Sharma JAMMU, Apr 24: The State Vigilance Organization, Jammu lodged FIR against tainted Naib Tehsildar for owning huge assets, disproportionate to his known sources of income. Sources said the FIR 11/2014-VOJ was registered under section 51 E, read with section 52 PC Act, in Police Station Vigilance Organization Jammu against Naib Tehsildar Sher Singh, earlier posted in Katra, now in Satwari Niabat, for owning assets much beyond his known sources of Income, following which three simultaneously raids by vigilance sleuths under the supervision of SSP M.Y Kitchloo were conducted at the residences of the Naib Tehsildar at Jammu, Katra and Reasi. Sources further informed that the Vigilance sleuths seized incriminating documents of several properties. During preliminary investigation; it was revealed that the revenue official had established number of hotels and lodges in Reasi and Katra besides huge chunk of land, exact cost of which was yet to be ascertained; however, estimated land alone has face value of Rs 12 crore. Further, the revenue official has been constructing a shopping complex at Rehari whose estimated cost runs into crores of rupees. VO conducted raids and lodged FIR, following the complaint that the Naib Tehsildar Katra Sher Singh had been raising property worth crores disproportionate to his sources of income. Sources further said that the scrutiny of the documents, including his bank accounts, credit cards, moveable and immovable property was in progress in the Police Station Vigilance Organization, Jammu and more revelations are expected. |
