Mendhar, Apr 25: Press Council of Mendhar (PCM) Poonch organised a meeting under the chairmanship of its founder and President Mohammed Shafiq Nazki to condemn the attack on two Journalists who were hospitalized after they were beaten up by the police during the coverage of a stone pelting.
"We told them that we are Journalists and going back to office but they did not listen to us and resorted to cane charging", said Shabnam Fayaz, a journalist.
Both the journalists received cane blows and were later on hospitalized. Press Council of Mendhar Poonch has demanded a through probe into the incident. |
