Jammu, Apr 29: With over 500 participating students, the Annual Flower Show Competition at Maharaja Hari Singh Agricultural Collegiate School (MHAC) Nagbani was such a lively event in the history of Jammu that it prompted everyone to appreciate the participating students with big round of applause after regular intervals. Students from sixth standard onwards up to 12th standard participated in the function with great zeal and enthusiasm. Celebrating the Annual feature under seven different categories including Fresh Flower arrangement, Dry arrangement, Japanese styled Ikebana arrangement usually practiced in marriages of Japan, Miniature arrangement, bouquets, Floral Carpet, and Flower baskets, students exhibited great passion to mesmerize the guests as well as other students presented in the function. As per the convener of the function, Shashi Devi, in the category of Fresh Flower Arrangement, over 30 projects were displayed by the student with each one unique in its composition. Similarly over 150 projects were demonstrated in the category of Floral Carpet arrangement. The four member jury who judged the function included Sudesh Sharma, Retired H.O.D Home Sciences, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Mansi Gupta, Director JD Institute of Fashion and Technology, Shahida Praveen, Dy SP and Shashi Rattan, Councilor MHAC School Nagbani. Sharing her experience, one of the students, Renuka Mahajan said, I feels contented to be part of an institution like MHAC Nagbani, as students, here are being prepared for co-curricular activities equally with the academics which will add to the personality of the students in this competitive world. |
