| CCI grieved over lawyers'-police tussle | | | Jammu, Apr 29: Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu expressed its grave concern over the ongoing tension between the lawyers on the one hand and the police administration on the other.
The Chamber feels that the two institutions one dealing with the interpretation of law and the other with the implementation of law should not clash with each other.
Chamber also feels that the leaders of various parties belonging to different hues and the vested interests can compound the problem by issuing statements and siding with one or the other. The Chamber calls upon both the institutions to sit together thrash out the problem, express their grievances, voice their concerns and come to a mutually agreed solution. It is no emphasizing the fact that the long standoff between the two is causing lot of problems to the public at large. Both the institutions should resolve the issue without any loss of time in the interest of the public which is the ultimate concern of both of them. Criticizing one or the other, making it a prestige point and taking a rigid stand will be detrimental to the interests of both. The Chamber feels that the present situation is creating an embarrassing situation for both and should be ended immediately. |
